turnover registration system with the modernisation of weighing plant facility based on
bar code technology for transport identification.

Major hardware and software, used for development and System installation:
- workstations: IBM compatible PCs;
- bar code equipment: PSC and STI;
- software: DOS, Windows for Workgroups 3.11, Microsoft Access;
- specialised software: developed by INT specialists.
Brief description
Plant «Energy» is the only enterprise in the capital of Ukraine, working on the recycling of home waste.
Technological cycle of waste recycling begins with special transportation means which continuously carries the waste to the plant. Cars arrives to the plant through the car weighing platform (two of them installed). After weighting an operator does a record in route sheet indicating the weight of cargo, which defined as a difference between the result of weighting and passport manufacturer data on the car weight.
Due to imperfections of weighing and registration technology there was a
discords in calculations between the plant «Energy» and organisations which carry waste.
Finally plant management has came to a decision to implement the Cargo turnover enterprise
registration system to receive up to date information and to eliminate possible man
influence on results.
System ensures:
- remote (up to three metres) car identification when it comes/leaves with automatic triggering of lazer scanner when signals from weighing platform comes;
- car weighing on special weights, equipped with sensors and analog-to-digital converter, writing a result of weighting to the computer and displaying the result on the monitor;
- automatic calculation of cargo net weight defined as a difference between the weight of car in/car out, connected to car identification database;
- automatic information transfer to the database using dial-up phone lines;
- creation the reports for the accounting tasks.
