Denomination of services rendered: Modernization of the UMC’s information network

Date of the system launching:

• First stage – November of 1996;

• Second stage – March of 1997;

• Third stage – from March 1997 till now.

Brief performance specifications of the System and the List of tasks fulfilled:

• There was completed the assembly of the distributive subsystem and the 5th category workplace subsystems on the base of an unshielded twisted pair cable (UTP) in the building of the Livoberezhny General Post Office (UMC’s headquarters); in offices located at: vul. Pochayninska, vul. Kutuzova and vul. Shchorsa;

• Network-forming equipment (CISCO switchboard, Hewlett-Packard hubs) was connected;

• Hardware for the UMC cellular network designing and monitoring (Hewlett-Packard working station HP9000) was connected;

• Approximately 300 new clients were connected to the network, users who formerly worked in the network mode were provided with connection as well.

The basic hard- and software used in course of the System development and installation

• Hardware produced by these firms was used: CISCO, Hewlett-Packard, Victron, Alcatel, Macromate, Legrand.

• Software installed is made by: HP UX;
